Yes, they carry chiles anchos, in a small bulk section they have
I believe I did see them. And if not try tierra Azteca. On bloor and dufferin..
There was no refrigerated section for the market part, just jarritos in a fridge. But I would recommend calling them if you can't pop in for a visit.
No I am sorry
No, they don't carry fresh fruit. You'd have to ask from the kitchen, not sure they'd provide
(Translated by Google) I honestly do not remember seeing anything from Colombia ... but if you like this is a Colombian business in dufferin and Lawrence (Original) Sinceramente no recuerdo haber visto nada de Colombia.. pero si gustas esta un negocio colombiano en dufferin and Lawrence
(Translated by Google) They sell rufles ???? (Original) Venden rufles????
If you really want to taste the true Mexican gastronomy you should definitely come here, they have an great menu with different dishes, different and delicious hot Mexican sauces.
Great food! Try the dollar tacos 😍
One of the only legit places in Toronto to eat super yummy food for a great price. We eat here all the time like at least once a month.Lol at people complaining about service. It’s clearly a variety store so chill out...
Found this place by accident while driving on Bloor St W. Entered the store/Restaurant and everyone was well spaced, no issues related to the current social distancing. The smell of the grill in the back was aromatic and fresh. The server spoke English, although quite sure Spanish was preferred. Menu was extensive; daily specials on the wall.Other than the quesadilla we ordered the other dish (TBH - cant remember the name sorry)was a set of 3 mini soft tacos with a thicker base. Heaving with pulled chicken, fresh creme (Queso) beans, onion, cilantro and sauce. The order was packed with fresh lime, 2 hot sauces, and a creamy guacamole. Food was fresh, and tasty, along with the 2 Mexican cokes (They only use cane sugar for sweetener in these) Definitely a repeat.
Latin World is a great place to go for authentic Mexican food. Sometimes it's a little slow, but you can have nacho chips while you wait, and anyhow, that's Mexican time for you. Also: buy essentials like salsa and hot sauce here.
You could almost miss this place if you were in a hurry heading home; if by chase you don't, step inside for a bite. At first you think, "am I in a grocery store" but then you notice the tables and awkward patrons eyeing you as someone once did to them on their first visit here. No you're actually in two place at once. This crossover grocery store clashed restaurant smack dab in the middle of it is Latin World. They offer what we hope for when we find places like this, the expected taste of slow roasted meats, bright ingredients, home style welcome and yes walls lined from shelf to shelf with the same ingredients you'll find on your plate. It is a small place but who cares if your home. Its home rite? So find this place and treat it like home and yes you can invite your friends if you like to share. Enjoy!
Food was good, nothing super special. Service was indeed very slow though - 30 minutes to get the menu at 4pm.
An absolutely wonderful restaurant! The small seating area is tucked away inside a grocery store. The decor is cute and colourful and creates a great dining experience. The food here is super flavourful! They give complimentary nacho chips with 3 different salsas. You can order any of the entrees with a meat of your choosing (carnitas, al pastor, lengua, etc...). The carnitas in the taco is ridiculous good. It was fatty and meaty and delicious. The cochinita was also great. I would also highly recommend the quesadillas. It’s packed with meat and cheese and is super filling. Pairing all of these meaty dishes with an agua fresca helps cut through the richness. Would definitely recommend this place for some great food!
Excellent Enchiladas Suizas and Huarache with Pastor meat.
Great tacos! The meat is incredibly flavourful!
Great spot! Prices can't be beat
Yum! Good price as well. And I'm very interested in their shelf of made in Mexico grocery!
I am a surprised by all the positive reviews. We popped in for a quick bite and were shocked by the food we were served. The guacamole was just chopped unripe avocado with some chopped onion with no seasoning (no lime or salt). The salad was some wilted lettuce, a bit of avocado, a tiny bit of cactus and some tomato- when I asked about dressing, I was told they didn't have any. My bf got enchiladas which were equally disappointing. In the end the bill was $37, for one meal and 2 very disappointing sides. Should have known better than to order off a menu without prices.
Good cheap eats and sizeable portions. I had the fish and veggie tacos - the veggie were beans and potatoes. It was filling and good. The surrounding shelves have lots of Mexican ingredients for sale which is fun. Our server didn’t speak much English but we didn’t mind at all!! It gave us a chance to recall some Spanish!
I felt like I was in Mexico! Nothing fancy, but just the way I like it, food was delicious! Carnitas and beef tacos were amazing ! And the sauces served with the dishes 😍😍... definitely coming back!
LOVE IT! Latin everything to eat and buy at thos venue. Be ready to wait a little bit if you're waiting for food
Decent food but awful service. Took 30 minutes to actually order, and another hour to get food. Would not recommend if you're in a rush!
Not the greatest location, but love the tacos. They are authentic. Service was excellent and they open late.
I told my friends about this place with my warmest recommendations. I go their often. This recommendation is always successful. The the food there is fantastic and the stuff is efficient and cooperative. Whenever we visit this place we have a pleasant time. warmly recommended.
Amazing little spot! Delicious Authentic food and Alba's Customer service is great always helpful and very knowledgeable!!
Do not eat tacos anywhere else, other places have their tacos overpriced, this place have them at $1 depending on the day which is a great price. I would never pay more than $2 for one taco and strongly encourage everyone to follow suit.I've seen other reviewers saying it's not good, I ask who would go to a Mexican restaurant for anything but tacos!? If you want a weird dish sure go anywhere you want, never had any other plate in their menu but again... why bother? if it's tacos you want just come here on their special days!
Super delicious and pretty well priced! Very small so it gets packed easily but you can always order take away. It's also a nice Latin-American shop with candies, cooking supplies and some household stuff.
The people who work here are the best. There was a miscommunication with our order and they hooked us up with food for the rest of the week- literally. food is authentic and vvv good.
ordered a chicken burrito for takeout which cost $8.50. service was quick, and the burrito was average - chicken, a lot of rice, some black beans, a tiny bit of lettuce. no cheese, sour cream, guac, or any extras, other than chips on the side.
Oh dang. $1 taco specials and chilaquiles that whisper your name in the night, Its not weird, it delicious.
Mexican food well served. Not the same quality and flavour compared to México, but still an option for those who want a taste of Mexican cuisine. It definitely needs an improvement in space. Even the design is to pretend a classic Mexican taco place, it needs better design,so the costumers more can be comfortable. Only one server, so you better or patient and wait a while if the place is full. The place is small and cozy. Medium recommended, they need to improve so many things: they have the opportunity to transform it in to a cult place for Mexican food
Worst people to make business with, they can borrow thousands of dollars from you and never pay you back, worst employee's treatment I've ever seen in this country, stay away from these people
This place is cozy, quiet, but above all, the food is awesome. Genuine Mexican food, free chips and three kinds of salsa. Try the Carnitas Tacos--four for $11!
Great food served by great people,at reasonable prices.
Food here is really authentic, service was super friendly and even comply with our request of showing a soccer game. My only complain is that they had run out of a couple of items on the menu. They have a second location where micheladas are great, just as tasty as the ones you can get in Mexico.
Lovely little place. The food was delicious and fresh. Staff are very friendly and service was fast. Everything on the menu is very affordable.
This place will you back to Mexico :) An amazingly unpretentious, authentic and cute grocery store and mini-restaurant. The service is warm and kind! You have try every item in the menu and every little trinket they have. This is Toronto's little Mexico. I love it!
Great tacos and very kind staff. Get the cochinita tacos!
Authentic Mexican, friendly waitress and amazing food but far most the price is amazing. These other so called Mexican places are so Canadian it lacks flavors and the prices are crazy expensive and you get hardly anything. If you love flavour and a great price point that will let you get your belly full, then try this place out....
Delicious and reasonably priced, a new cheap special everyday including $1 tacos and BOGO pozole. Really pleasant and inviting staff, will be back again for sure
Cheap and cheery and delicious taqueria. The veggie tacos I had here were delicious and came with a bunch of chips and a few different hot sauces. Might bring some friends here for brunch sometime! :)
Amazing tacos! The chicken Tinga and the vegetables are both excellent, as are the beef & the chorizo. They provide chips & dip (complimentary) as an appetizer. Friendly staff, great ambiance.
My vegetarian burrito did not contain any beans in it although the menu clearly states that it should. There were no refried beans, no black beans, no beans of any type at all. I have never had a veggie burrito in Toronto that didn't have some protein in the form of beans in it. I can't believe they made me pay $10 for a serving of rice and lettuce! Totally unacceptable - I won't be ordering from them again.
My bf really like this place lol guess it’s really good !
Very authentic. Expect slow service but Cheap, cheerful and nice owners. Had the tacos, not blown away and would probably pay more for better tasting tacos elsewhere but the experience here is unique and authentic.
Small shop and also restaurant. Mexican atmosphere and style. Food is delicious. You can find there candies or other groceries from Latin America
Very authentically Latino. The set up is like a restaurant inside a mini Mart but I love it. There is no AC so if you're going in on a hot day, expect it to be hot. Service is a little slow but I think that's usually because there's only one waitress on hand and the restaurant gets pretty busy. I love the chips and sauce right before the main meal. Everything is reasonably priced and if you can come in on a day where your favorite taco is $1 - even better! I love the carnita tacos!
Great food! They were so nice!
Traditional Mexican food. Service is extremely slow, would not recommend going if you are low on time.
I honestly don’t know how this place has such amazing reviews. Probably the worst Mexican food I’ve had in Toronto. And to top it all, terrible service as well. The prices are too high for the quality of food served to you. I could’ve paid the same amount and got quality Mexican food in a higher end restaurant. So not recommended.
The Pozole wasn’t really good. The Corn was too long cooked, no side ingredients and the meat was just ok. I really wish they can get it better.
Enchiladas are very good, fairly priced as well
Great place to purchase Mexican food and to also eat Mexican food. It's not fancy so keep that in mind. Sort of like a convenient store with available food to eat.
